Each geographic fund features a number of exemplary recent or pending
land acquisition, stewardship, restoration or related capital projects
from a variety of non-profit conservation organizations. Each featured
project is screened and pre-approved by CRI to insure donors that
all projects meet strict eligibility criteria. Donors may contribute
to one or more specific projects, they may contribute to one or
more specific geographic fund, or they may request that CRI select
the specific geographic fund(s) and/or project(s) to be funded.
CRI will acknowledge all charitable contributions and provide the
necessary documentation for federal income tax purposes. Donors
will also have the option of having their gifts remain anonymous
if they so desire.
Once a project is featured in one of the geographic funds, CRI helps
market these projects and provides technical assistance, subject
to certain reasonable limits but without charge, to the non-profit
sponsors of these projects.
