The Great Egg Harbor River Council plans to install 9 additional Osprey nesting
platforms in the Great Egg Harbor Estuary in 2008 to prepare for the 2009 Osprey
breeding season. The NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife has identified the need for
these additional Osprey nesting sites, and they have provided GPS locations for the 9
new sites.
To accomplish this goal, the River Council plans to apply $2,000 in cash to purchase materials and cover costs, and will recruit $3,400 in volunteer inkind labor to build and install these 9 platforms.
The River Council would like to raise the $2,000 cash component from grants or donations, and is now seeking funding partners to assist with this project. |
